1 med head cabbage, cut into 8 wedges
½ c finely chopped green pepper
¼ c finely chopped onion
4 T butter
¼ c flour
½ t salt
1/8 t pepper
2 c milk
½ c mayonnaise or salad dressing
¾ c (3 oz) shredded natural cheddar cheese
3 T chili sauce

Directions:
On a large skillet, cook cabbage wedges in small amount of boiling salted water til tender, about 12 min. Drain well. Place cooked cabbage wedges in 9 x 13 dish. In saucepan, cook green pepper and onion in butter until tender but not brown. Blend flour, salt, and pepper. Add milk all at once, cook and stir until mixture thickens and bubbles. Pour over cabbage, bake uncovered at 375 for 20 min. Combine mayonnaise, shredded cheese, and chili sauce. Spoon on top wedges. Bake 5 more min.
