3 lb can great northern beans, canned
2 lbs boneless chicken, diced
1 Tbsp olive oil
4 clove garlic -- minced
1 1/2 medium onion -- chopped
2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp ground clove
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp ground oregano
8 oz mild chilies
4 c chicken broth
16 oz Monterey jack cheese
suggested toppers:
cheddar cheese -- shredded
sour cream
jalapeņo pepper slices

Directions:
Directions:
Saute chicken & onion in oil, and then quickly saute in garlic.

Stir together everything except the suggested toppings and simmer for at least 30 minutes. Always good to make in advance and let seasonings blend and then warm before serving. Be careful not to turn up to hot, which can cause scorching.

Spoon serving in bowl and top with cheese, sour cream and pepper slices, if desired.
