Personal Notes:
Aunt Edna Grise and her husband Paul along with their four children lived on a dairy and grain farm. Each summer Sharon and Connie were invited to stay on the farm for one or two weeks. It was great fun since Uncle Paul drove the giant yellow school bus! Aunt Edna's niece on her side of the family would come from Chicago at the same time we were there. We played on the bus and took turns being the driver!!! Well we all knew when chore time was taking place. Uncle Paul milked the cows both with milking machines as well as a few by hand. One day, Connie was given the opportunity to milk a cow! If two squirts made a difference in the amount of milk given that day, then her contribution made the difference! Two squirts took quite some time..... Not as easy as it appears. Aunt Edna taught us alot about the kitchen! Recipes were exciting when she helped us figure out how to measure and combine unfamiliar ingredients. She was a favorite aunt!!!
