3 eggs beaten
1 c raisins
1 t vanilla
1 c shortening
1 c brown sugar
1 c sugar
2 1/2 c flour
1 t salt
2 t soda
1 t cinnamon
2 c oatmeal
1/2 c nuts chopped optional

Directions:
Directions:
Combine eggs, raisins and vanilla. Let stand for one hour. Preheat oven to 350º. Cream together shortening and sugars. Add flour, salt, soda and cinnamon mixing well. Blend in egg mixture, oatmeal and nuts. Dough will be stiff. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake 10 - 12 minutes.
