1/3 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 package of yeast
4 c. flour
¼ c. sugar
¾ c. scalded milk
2 eggs
1 tsp. lemon extract

Directions:
Directions:
1.In a sauce pan, scald milk and add sugar, shortening, and salt until dissolved
2.Crumble yeast in warm water
3.Add yeast to scalded milk once it has slightly cooled
4.Add beaten eggs, 2 c. flour – mix well
5.Turn dough onto lightly floured board and knead until smooth
6.Place in well greased bowl and let rise until double in size
7.Cut and shape, then let rise again for ½ hour
8.Bake at 325 for 30 mins. or less
