2 cups sugar
1 cup water
2-3 tsp of maple flavoring or to taste

Directions:
Directions:
combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil and boil about 30 seconds, take off stove and add the maple flavoring. This is good and inexpensive. My mother always used this when we were kids, and I have continued to make this to this day. We like it better than the store bought syrup.
