l C. thick cream (if sour, add1/2 t. soda)
1 pint milk (can add 1 1/2 C. makes better)
2 C. flour 1/2 C corn meal
2 t. baking powder 2-3 eggs.
Directions:

Beat egg yolks till lemon in color. Add cream, milk. Then sifted dry ingredients. Beat egg whites till stiff and add last. Cook on medium hot griddle till golden on each side.

Cora would make these small and called the golden dollars Her husband Art would sing and dance for us kids while he sang "Rings on her fingers and Bells on her toes-She shall have music where ever she goes". We were delighted !
