2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 cup mashed bananas
3/4 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla


Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, measure, add baking powder, soda and salt. Sift together. Cream butter, add sugar gradually,cream together until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well; then add bananas(about 3 med. bananas) and beat again. Add flour to creamed mixture, alternately with milk, a small amount at a time, beating after each addition until smooth. Add vanilla. Bake in two greased loaf pans or cake pans. Bake at 350degrees.
Loaf pans 50 min or 25 min for cake pans.

The buttermilk in this recipe makes it the best and keeps it moist. Does not need frosting.
