1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
3/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar
1/4 tsp finely shredded lemon peel
3/4 cup jam or preserves
1 Tbsp flour (additional, but separate from the above measurement)

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together 1 3/4 cup flour and the finely chopped nuts. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter or margarine until softened. Add powdered sugar and lemon peel and beat until fluffy. Add flour mixture and beat until crumbly.

Press 2/3 of the crumb mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 9x9x2" baking pan. Spread jam on top.

Stir 1 Tbsp flour into remaining crumb mixture and sprinkle over jam.

Bake in 375º oven for 25-30 minutes, or until crumbs are golden. Cool and cut into bars.
