Personal Notes:
The San Jacinto Inn opened in 1919 near the Battleship TEXAS. It was well known for its family-style dining and its fluffy biscuits. Before the restaurant closed in 1987, owners distributed their popular biscuit recipe to patrons. I still have my copy, printed on the Inn's distinctive green recipe cards.

Renowned for their prix fixe dinners served family style, the Inn specialized in all-you-can-eat seafood. As we were seated on our first visit there, Margaret (age 10) announced that the only kind of seafood SHE liked was tuna fish. Will (age 5) added that the only kind of seafood HE liked was oyster crackers.
