12 thin slices of white bread
8 slices bacon, fried, drained and crumbled
2 packages (3 oz each) cream cheese, softened
12 asparagus spears, cooked. May use fresh or canned, but canned needs to be patted dry with paper toweling,
Melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Trim crusts from bread, roll with rolling pin to flatten slightly. Blend bacon bits with cream cheese and spread mixture on bread slices. Lay a cold cooked asparagus spear on each slice of bread and roll up. Place on a baking sheet, seam side down. Brush with melted butter and toast under broiler until lightly browned.

Makes 12 appetizers.
