8 oz. Mueller's macaroni (about 2 cups)
2 tbsp. margarine or butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 1/2 cups milk
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp. dry mustard (optional)
1/2 tsp. nutmeg (optional)

Cook macaroni 5-6 minutes, drain and set aside. In medium saucepan melt margarine and mix with flour. Slowly stir in milk, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Let white sauce stand a few minutes to cool before adding 1 1/3 cups cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Season with salt & pepper. Add macaroni. Pour into greased 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with reserved cheese. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until cheese on top is brown.
