Snap beans that are left in your garden.

Directions:

Pick and string enough beans for one meal per string using a large needle with heavy or button thread having little space between beans for drying. Hang in a hot, dry place till dry and ready for use. Remove beans from string and soak overnight. Boil slowly for 3 hours. An hour before serving add ham hocks or seasoning meat. Leave enough liquid to barely cover the meat and beans. Serve juice and all. Your favorite corn bread goes well with the beans.
