2 sticks margarine or butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. flour
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sweet milk
1 oz. red food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well after each. Add cocoa and vanilla. Sift together flour, salt & baking powder. Add this to creamed mixture alternately with milk and mix well. Beat in red cake coloring. Bake in a tube pan at 325º for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
