2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. margarine
1/4 tsp. cream of tarter
1 tsp. baking soda
8 to 9 quarts popped popcorn
1 c. nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In a 2 quart saucepan, combine first 5 ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring let boil 3 minutes.
Remove from heat, add baking soda. Pour cooked syrup over popcorn. Mix well. Spread on baking sheet. Bake 200 degrees for 1 1/2 hours, stirring every 15 minutes.
