1 box dried apricots (12-16 oz.)
3/4 cup sugar
1½ sticks butter
1 cup sugar
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 cup walnuts or pecans
1 can coconut (Angel flaked)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook apricots until tender. Add 3/4 cup sugar and cook until thick. Cool. Cream butter and sugar. Blend in flour sifted with soda and salt. Add nuts and coconut. Press about 2/3 of flour mixture in bottom and sides of a 13x9x2 or tart pan. Bake for 10 minutes in 400 degree oven. Remove from oven and place apricots over half-baked crust. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Return to 300 degree oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
