1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
Scant c. sour milk
Pinch salt
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. lard (shortening)
1/2 c. cocoa, dissolved in 1/2 c. hot water
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Mix lard, sugar and eggs together. Stir in cocoa and water mixture. Add milk and sifted dry ingredients. Mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 8 x 11 inch pan. Bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes or until done.
