Soup Start:
One large sweet onion, chopped
One red or yellow pepper, chopped
1/2 stick butter
3-4 cloves garlic, chopped
First addition:
2 cups chopped carrots
lots of fresh cracked pepper
2 cups chopped honey ham
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp honey
Second addition:
One bag each of rinsed, dried yellow and green peas
3 quarts of water

Directions:
Directions:
Saute` in bottom of large pot "Soup Start" till soft. Add First addition ingredients, saute` few more minutes on high heat. Add Second addition ingredients. Bring to a boil on high heat, then simmer on low-med heat for 3 hours, until consistency of thin applesauce. Salt and pepper to taste.
