1 yeast cake
2 T. sugar
Flour
2 T. salt
4 c. water
*Use lukewarm water in winter and cold water in summer, unless in a hurry.

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast and sugar in water. Add a little flour for sponge and let stand for awhile. Add salt and more flour to stiffen. Let rise, mix down, let rise again. Then put in pans. Let rise and bake. (Bake loaves of bread at 350º-400º for 50-60 minutes)
