Ingredients:
4 c. flour 1 c. salt 1 1/2 c. water

Directions:
Combine flour and salt. Add water slowly and mix well with hands. Knead 5 minutes. Roll or cut with cookie cutters or shape into objects. Place on cookie sheet and bake 350º for 45 minutes to one hour. Let cool and paint. Use varnish to seal in the paint. When making a nativity set Sandy made the bodies out of some thin cardboard that was rolled into a small cone shape then put the dough around it so that it didn't use so much dough and would bake better. I have also dyed the dough instead of painting it and then just varnish it.
