2 c. boiling water
2 c. Nabisco All-Bran
3 c. sugar
1 c. shortening (heaping)
1 qt. buttermilk
4 eggs, beaten
5 c. flour
5 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
4 c. bran flakes

Directions:
Directions:
Pour 2 cups boiling water over 2 cups Nabisco All-Bran. Let cool. Cream together sugar and shortening. Add All-Bran and water. Then add buttermilk, beaten eggs, flour, baking soda, salt, and bran flakes. Mix well. Refrigerate and bake as needed. Bake at 375º for about 20 minutes. Keeps up to 3 weeks in the refrigerator.
