Cream together:
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar

Add and mix well:
1/2 cup molasses

Sift together:
2 1/4 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
Directions:
Directions:
Add dry ingredients alternating with 1/2 cup water. Drop on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 350º for 8-10 minutes.
