Preheat oven @ 375º
2 1/4 cups unsifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Stir together and set aside
1 c real butter softened and whipped
3/4 c sugar
3/4 c brown sugar, packed
Beat together until creamy about 4 min
2 tsp vanilla
2 large eggs
Add to butter and sugar mixture 1 egg at a time until incorporated
Gradually blend dry ingredients into creamed mixture
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
2 cups Ghirardelli milk choc. Chips
Stir into cookie batter

Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 9-11 min or until golden brown.
