½ c onion
2 garlic cloves
2 T olive oil
½ lb ground beef
½ lb ground pork
½ lb ground veal
½ green bell pepper, chopped
½ lb mushrooms, chopped
2 tomato paste, 6 oz can
1 Italian stewed tomatoes, 28 oz can
1½ t Worcestershire sauce
1½ t angostura bitters
1 T sugar
½ c dry red wine
½ t salt
¼ t ground black pepper
½ t celery salt
2 bay leaves
dash cayenne pepper
1 lb spaghetti, cooked al dente and drained
freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
In large heavy kettle, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until transparent. Add beef, pork and veal, and brown over medium heat. Add green pepper, mushrooms, tomato paste, tomatoes, Worcestershire, bitters, sugar, wine, salt, peppers, celery salt, and bay leaves.

Simmer over low heat for 3 hours.

Serve over pasta and sprinkle Parmesan.
