1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
6 ounces chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Spread 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans in greased 8x8" pan.
Stir together until boiling, 1/2 cup butter and 3/4 cup brown sugar; boil for 7 minutes stirring constantly. Pour on top of nuts and spread.
Let stand a few minutes and spread the chocolate chips on top. Cover pan with a bread board (or cutting board) until chips have melted enough to spread.
Chill in refrigerator until hard enough to crack into pieces.

There were some things that mom made every year at Christmas-time. I'm not a big fan of walnuts but still looked forward to these every year.
