1 c. shortening 1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. brown sugar 1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar 2 1/2 T. water
2 eggs 2 1/2 c. oats
1 tsp. salt 1 c.nuts
1 tsp. soda 12z. choc.chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, salt, soda,vanilla, water, and flour. Mix into wet mixture. Add oats, nuts, and chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
If desired substitute 6 oz. raisins for 6 oz. choc.chips.
