12 slices bread, buttered without crust
½ lb cheddar cheese, shredded
1 lb pork sausage, browned and drained
½ cup onion
4-6 eggs
3 cups milk
½ tsp crushed red pepper
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Brown sausage and drain. Beat eggs and milk together. Arrange 6 slices of bread in the bottom of a buttered 9x13 baking pan. Top with half of the sausage, half of onion and half of the cheese. Add all of the egg mixture. Repeat with remaining bread, sausage, onion, cheese. Push down top layer of bread to soak up liquid. Spray a piece of foil with Pam and then cover pan. Refrigerate overnight. Bake covered at 325° for 1 hour. To check if cooking is complete, insert a cold knife to see if it comes out clean.
