Ingredients: 1/2 c warm water 1/4 c margarine 2 tbsp yeast 1 tbsp salt 2/3 c. dry milk 2 eggs 1 3/4 c. warm water I used 3 & added more flour to make two large loaves and several rolls 1/2 c. sugar 7 or more c. flour,( can use part whole wheat or other grains. ) fresh ground. 1/4 c. shortening

Directions: in 1/2 c. warm water place 2 tbsp sugar, 2 tbsp yeast let proof ten minuets. In a large bowl mix warm water, shortening ,margarine (melted ) mix in all wet ingredients mix in yeast mixture . In another bowl mix 4 c. flour and all dry ingredients. mix into water mixture. Add more flour as needed. The last additions are a hand full at a time until you reach the right consistency. Kneed 10 minuets. Let rise to double about 1 hour in a warm place punch down, form into loaves and rolls, place in greased pans, let double
bake 400 degrees loaves 40-45 minuets, rolls 15-20 minuets . If oven burns hot 375 degrees . |

Notes: Excellent dough for cinnamon and other sweet rolls. Increase sugar by 1/2 c. in dough, for cinnamon rolls. after rising punch down roll to 1/4 thick cut into strips 13 inches wide by 15 inches long. Spread with soft butter and sprinkle with 3 tbsp cinnamon, 1 c, brown or white sugar, 3 tbsp flour, For other rolls add flavoring and other spices. cut in 1 inch rolls Add raisin, nuts, chocolate chips
