Ingredients:

1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
2 T. milk
Roll in 4x sugar after baking.
Filling
1/4 c.semi-sweet chocolate
1 T. shortening
2 T. white corn syrup
1 T. water
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 375º
Cream butter, salt, and vanilla. Add brown sugar.
Blend in flour and milk. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place on greased cookie sheet. Make a depression in each with thumb (duh). Be sure and make the depression large enough to add filling.
Bake 10 - 12 minutes just lightly brown. Then roll in powdered sugar while still warm.

Make filling and put dollop in each depression. Add nut on top if you wish.
