1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt
1/2 c. butter
2/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. maraschino cherry juice
2 T. milk
2 squares (or 2 oz) melted, unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/4 c. chopped maraschino cherries

Sift the flour, soda and salt. Cream the butter and sugar and add to the sifted dry ingredients in batches, cutting in the cherry juice, milk, and egg. Blend in chocolate, cherry bits, chopped nuts. Drop by rounded tsps on baking sheet; bake 12-15 minutes at 350.

Meanwhile cut 18 marshmallows in half. Place marshmallow on warm cookie, cut side down. Top with chocolate frosting and a walnut half.
