8 4-oz portions of cube steak
1 c flour
1 T each: salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika
2 c oil
4 c water
1 T kitchen bouquet

Directions:
Directions:
Put flour and dry spices in a gallon size ziplock bag. Shake cube steak in the flour until well coated. Heat oil in a large skillet on medium high. Fry the steak until golden brown on the outside, but do not overcook. Allow the cooked steak to rest on a paper towel lined plate, then reserve only about 1/2 cup of oil and "brown bits" in the frying pan. Still over medium high heat, add in 1/2 cup of the spiced flour left in the ziplock bag and whisk until flour is blended well with the oil. Slowly add the water, whisking constantly. Add kitchen bouquet©, then add the steak back into the gravy. Cover, turn the heat to low and simmer for about an hour or until steak is tender, adding water if necessary to thin the gravy.
