1 1/2 lb.ground pork sausage
Sweet potatoes, cooked and mashed (about 4

Preheat oven to 350º.
Put ground pork sausage in casserole dish and bake 1/2 hour. Drain off fat.
Cover with mashed sweet potatoes and bake another 1/2 hour.
Serve with green beans or other fresh vegetable.

Dad (Albert Waishwell) ordinarily did not like yams or sweet potatoes because he had too many in Japan during WWII. This was one of his favorite recipes, however.
