2 quarts of apple cider.
1 1/2 quarts of cranberry juice
1/2 cup (firmly packed) light brown sugar
8 - 10 3- inch cinnamon sticks
10 to 15 whole allspice
20 to 25 whole cloves
Sliced oranges.

Directions:
Directions:
Put spices into a spice ball or sack if possible. Just put the cinnamon sticks into the pot with the liquids. Combine all ingredients in a 6-quart kettle (or larger pan). Bring to a boil. Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes. More sugar can be added if necessary. Refrigerate any leftover cider.

Another Christmas family tradition at our house. I just keep the pot on the stove all day on low heat so the kids can get a cup whenever they want.
