2 1/2 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ginger
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup molasses
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup boiling water
1 tsp baking soda
2 beaten eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Stir first 3 ingredients together. In separate bowl cream shortening and add sugar and beat on medium speed until smooth. Blend in molasses, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Add soda to boiling water and pour over this mixture. Blend well. Add dry mixture and blend well. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 pan and bake at 325* for 50 to 60 minutes or until top springs back.
