4 slices of bacon
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic
1/2 of a green pepper (for corn chowder)
2 cooked cubed potatoes
1 can (303) of cream style corn
1 box frozen corn
salt & pepper
3 cups milk
1/2 cup cream or half & half

Directions:
Directions:
Saute first 4 ingredients in bacon fat. Drain. Combine all ingredients except cream and simmer for 5 minutes. Thicken mix with 1/2 cup milk and 2 Tbs. of flour. Add cream

To serve: Add a dab of butter on top or grated cheese or croutons.
For clam chowder, add canned clams.
