Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup flour
3Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup fruit
1 tsp flavored sugar (see personal note)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven 425 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Combine dry ingredients, melt butter and add other wet ingredients to butter. Mix the 2 together until it gathers into a ball. Knead briefly ~ 8 times. Add fruit, form into a ball and cut into pie shapes, I do 4 or 6. Top with flavored sugar and bake for 8 -10 minutes.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Favorite flavored sugars: Vanilla sugar: take a vanilla bean and slice horizontally and cut into 2 c. of granulated sugar mix and let it rest for 2 weeks. Then good to use. Rosebud sugar from Byerly's or Lunds is very good too, especially with lemon flavors.
