1 lb carrots cut 1/4 inch slices
3/4 lbs Brussels sprouts cut in half
1/4 cup butter
1 tbsp. minced ginger root or 3/4 tsp. ground ginger
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. grated lemon rind
1 tsp. sugar
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp. minced parsley to garnish

Directions:
Directions:
Cook carrots and sprouts until tender about 8-10 minutes. Drain. Melt butter in sauce pan add ginger cook for 2 minutes, add lemon juice and lemon rind plus 1 tsp sugar, add salt and pepper and pour over carrots and sprouts.

This is another recipe found in Grandma Clara Ready's handwriting it sounds really good and would make a nice vegetable addition to any meal.
