1 cup butter
2 1/2 cup sugar
5 eggs
3 cups sifted flour
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla

For the topping: 2 unsweetened and 2 sweetened bricks of chocolate.
1/4 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. cream
2 tsp. water

Directions:

1. Cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.

2. Add the eggs one at a time and beat very well after each one.

3. Sift the dry ingredients together ad add alternately with the milk; beat until well blended.

4. Grease & Flour a tubed cake pan. Pour mixture into the pan and cook at 325º for 1-1/2 hours.

5. Cook

Topping for the cake:

heat over low: 2 unsweetened and 2 semi sweetened bricks of bakers chocolate; 1/4 cup of water and 1/2 cup sugar. Bring to a boil Then add 1 tbsp. butter, 2 tbs. cream and 3 tsp. water.

Drizzle over the top of the cake.
