2 pounds cooked and cubed chicken or whole country style boneless spareribs
3-8 ounce cans tomato sauce
2 1/4 cups water
1/3 cup vinegar
1 cup brown sugar or 1 cup white sugar and 2 tablespoons mild molasses
1/4 cup corn starch + 1 1/2 teaspoons
About 3 cups uncooked white rice

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare chicken or spareribs and cook them ahead of time. Cook rice as instructed in the label.
Put the tomato sauce, water, vinegar, and brown sugar (or white sugar and molasses) in a large saucepan. Combine well. Add cornstarch and stir well. Turn the stove on and bring the mixture to a boil.
Lower heat and simmer until sauce is thick. Add the place chicken pieces or whole spareribs into the sauce.
Serve as rice toppings.
