1 1/2 pound shortening
3 cup sugar
3 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 pound peanut butter
6 eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 cup milk
pinch of salt
1/8 cup baking soda
4 cup coconut
2 1/4 pounds oatmeal
1 1/2 pound chopped peanuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream Shortening, sugars and peanut butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients, mix in milk and peanuts mix well. Bake at 300º for 12-15 minutes. Watch carefully burns easily. Will puff up then fall when taken out of the oven DO NOT OVER BAKE!!! Frost with powder sugar frosting. Makes 3 or 4 cookie sheets. Wet hands to spread out evenly. ENJOY!!
