1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 c. flour
1 egg
3 c. oatmeal
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
jar of marishino cherries (drained)
Directions:
Directions:
Mix all but cherries. Form into balls. Flatten with fork. Top with 1/2 or 1/4 cherry. Bake at 350º for about 10 minutes.
