3 T. butter
3/4 c. chopped onion
3 c. water
3 chicken bouillon cubes
2 c. egg noodles (not frozen)
1 tsp. salt
3 c. milk
10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
1 lb. Velveeta cheese (I use light)
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
pepper to taste

Directions:
Melt butter and saute onions, add water and bouillon cubes. Heat to boiling until cubes dissolve. Gradually add noodles and salt so mixture continues to boil. Boil uncovered 3 minutes, stirring. Stir in broccoli and garlic salt. Turn heat to low, add milk and cheese (cube cheese for easy melting). Continue cooking until cheese melts - DO NOT BOIL again - this will curdle the soup.
