1/2 cup mashed potato
1 extra-large egg
4 tablespoons butter, at room temperature
3/4 cup water
3/4 teaspoon dried thyme, rosemary, oregano, basil, or a combination
2 1/2 cups unbleached white flour
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats (not instant)
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
2 tablespoons sunflower seeds

1. Have all ingredients at room temperature.

2. Place all ingredients except the sunflower seeds in the machine, in the order recommended for your particular machine, and program for basic white setting, then start machine.

3. Add sunflower seeds 20 minutes into the first kneading cycle.
