1 pkg or 1 T yeast
1 c warm water
1 tsp sugar
2 1/2 c flour
1 tsp salt
1 egg
2 T shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Mix yeast, water, and sugar. Set aside to dissolve. Mix the rest of the ingredients together. Add yeast mixture and mix. Use right away or refrigerate for the next day. Fry in hot oil. Top with honey butter, jam, or cinnamon sugar.
