2 cups flour
1/3 cups sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
freshly ground nutmeg to taste
oil to fry in
milk or sweet cream to make stiff dough

Directions:
Directions:
Add enough milk or sweet cream to make a stiff dough to ingredients. Roll out 1/2 inch thick cut into long strips making slit in center. Fold end through slit deep fry in oil.

Another old time Germans from Russia Heritage recipe passed down for many generations. When making these you will notice the flour and milk measurement may vary depending on the conditions of the weather. Majority of these type of recipes were done by the way it feels.
