Personal Notes:
Remember Mrs. Quillen's English class? Do you remember going to the blackboard and having to diagram a sentence? I certainly remember it. Most teachers can't do that now. Very few teachers know how to diagram a sentence, much less how to teach it. We learned every part of a sentence and how each part related to the construction of a sentence. Mrs. Quillen was a great teacher and taught us well.

We never could get Mrs. Quillen to come to our reunions, but John Whited says he has to tell her every little detail after our reunions are over.

Memories from Eb: Do you remember looking at the sun and sneezing? Jerry Nixon was the best at that. Do you remember going skinny dipping at Dead Man's Curve and Big Rock? Riding our bicycles up Stone Mountain to High Knob and coming down the Norton side? It's a wonder nobody got hurt. Flinging apples with the use of a long slender stick, sharpened on the small end. Stick the apple on the small end and let her rip. That always got you in trouble.

Do you remember the square dances that were held on the streets in Coeburn?
