1 chopped onion
2 cups chopped carrots
2 cups chopped celery
3 chicken breasts, cooked and cubed
3-4 strips cooked bacon, crumbled
1 1/2 cups wild rice (approx. 1 lb)
1 pint Half and Half
1/4 stick butter
3 bay leaves
4-5 tbsp. flour
32 oz chicken broth (can add more depending on how thick you'd like the soup)

Directions:
Directions:
-Boil veggies and bay leaves with approx. half of chicken broth and 1/4 cup butter until tender, but not fully cooked (5-10 minutes)
-Add Half and Half and rest of chicken broth, simmer
-in small bowl, mix the flour and cold water until a paste forms.
-Bring soup almost to a boil and add two big spoonfuls and stir fast. Boil for a few minutes and add more flour mixture to desired consistency.
-Add chicken, wild rice, and bacon.
-Simmer until serving.
-shredded cheese can also be added for flavor and to thicken soup if desired.
