Ingredients:
Ingredients:
14 Tbsp. (1 stick, plus 6 Tbsp,) Butter
1 C. Granulated Sugar
2 Tbsp. Cold Water
1/2 C. Chopped Pecans
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
Dash Salt
6oz. Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Directions:
Directions:
Generously butter a cookie sheet.
Place butter, sugar and water in a heavy saucepan or skillet over medium-high heat. Bring to a bubbling boil, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, about 10 minutes. Remove spoon from pan, and cook to a very brittle stage (300º to 310º on a candy thermometer). If you don't have a candy thermometer, you can do a cold water test: candy will separate into hard, brittle threads when dropped in cold water.
Remove from heat and add pecans to mixture. Add vanilla and salt, pour onto a cookie sheet and spread to 1/4" thickness. Cool slightly, top with chocolate chips and spread as they melt. Cool completely and break into pieces.
Store in an airtight container.
