1 lbs. frozen green beans
salt, pepper, butter
2 large slices of bacon or 3 small
2 tblsp. flour
1 leek chopped
1 tsp. savory and dill weed
1 c. chicken broth
1/2 c. milk
1/4 lbs. grated cheddar cheese
bread cubes
butter and oil
Romano cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Cook green beans with salt and pepper, water and butter.

In a frying pan, fry bacon slowly until very crisp. Drain and set aside.

To bacon fat, add chopped leek and stir for a couple of minutes. Add 2 tbls. flour and let brown a minute. Add savory and dill weed, bacon and milk. Let cook until thick. Season with salt and pepper. Butter casserole dish. Pour gravy over green beans and mix well. Crumble bacon and add to beans and mix. Top with grated cheddar cheese. Melt 3 tbsp. butter and 1 tblsp. oil in pan. Add bread cubes and toss till coated. Add 1 tbsp. Romano cheese and mix well. Cover beans with bread and bake in a 325º oven until good and hot.
