Ingredients:  
1 (16oz) bag dry northern white beans
1 (8oz) bag sauerkraut
1 small ham bone
Salt and pepper to taste
1 t. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Soak beans in cold water over night. In morning rinse beans. Cover beans with water and add 1 t. baking soda, and cook until it foams. Drain and wash off again. Put cold water on to cover beans and ham bone. Cover and cook to boiling. Add salt and pepper. Add sauerkraut at end.
